However, girls' intake of French fries and potato chips, cakes and doughnuts, and candy and chocolate was significantly higher. There was a significant inverse correlation between screen time and intake of breakfast, vegetables and fruit. Conversely, physical activity had a significant positive relationship with fruit and vegetable intake.
