Episode 3 of the ground breaking new zombie apocalypse show; The Walking Dead premiered on November 14th 2010 on the AMC television network. With the exception of a few women like Bethenny and Atlanta's NeNe Leakes, who broke into mainstream success and then retreated back into the cushy world of Real Housewives, the housewives are in a holding pattern of petty dramas and jagged cross-talk, perpetually auditioning for the next season, when they will reset and sharpen themselves up for another round robin of bickering and alliance-building.
What's most amazing is that religious leaders still don't get it. Instead of softening their rhetoric, their endless dogmas, doctrines, and distinctions, they become more fixed, rigid, separated and exclusivist. Meanwhile, scores are leaving this insanity, perhaps to protect what little remains. In exchange, they read Eat, Pray, Love, where insanity meets Sanity, where respect and inclusiveness are actually practiced, where they can relax, take off their shoes, enjoy themselves, others, and God.
In Ellul's conception, then, life is not happy in a civilization dominated by technique. Even the outward show of happiness is bought at the price of total acquiescence. The technological society requires men to be content with what they are required to like; for those who are not content, it provides distractions-escape into absorption with technically dominated media of popular culture and communication. And the process is a natural one: every part of a technical civilization responds to the social need generated by technique itself. Progress then consists in progressive de-humanization-a busy, pointless, and, in the end, suicidal submissions to technique.

Dawno nie widziałem tak pięknego audio-wizualnego dzieła jak Godless. Oglądając serial miałem wrażenie, że każdy kadr jest tam dopracowany. Nie spotkałem się wcześniej z tak realistycznie przedstawionym i potraktowany tematem jakim jest koń w serialu czy też filmie.
