If you watch television frequently then you have probably seen the Shark Steam Mop infomercial at least once or twice. Like I said in the piece above, there are tow arguments to this whole schtick, but in the end, it is when both parties end up using the same technologies to communicate their pro and con ideas about the effects and affects of technologies, that in the end, they become human because their technologies have overtaken their overall human interaction, face-to-face, and this to me is what is the problem. Whether we like or dislike technology, in the final analysis, it is the very thing that connects and takes over the entire human communications and interaction, that is bothersome. More so, it is troublesome that we end up loving it, despite the negative effects and adjustments we have to make in accessing ourselves and information.
There is a lot of truth in this. We can see how African American guys would find this troubling, but it is also something they are aware of from dating habits of men and women. It works similar for same sex relations. I know from personal experience.
Gaiman's American Gods pits two set of gods, old and new, against one another for power over the world. The old gods have roots in world mythology, including Norse and Ancient Egyptian, while the new gods represent present-day American values in media and technology. The novel, which was reprinted in 2011, climaxes with an epic battle between the two groups of gods.

I agreed and asked him his name. He said it was Pagiel," a name I had never heard before. Later research revealed that it occurs in Numbers 1:13; 2:27 ; 7:72,77 ; and 10:26 , where a Prince of the Tribe of Asher and the son of Okran appears by the same name. Pagiel is sometimes translated as allotment of God," which evokes a sense of soldierly rationing, but also Divine provision and distribution. It is also sometimes translated as intervention of God" or occurrence of God." In Hebrew, it is written as פַּגְעִיאֵ֖ל and has a Hebrew Gematria value of 194. The word צדק (tzedek) has the same value and means to be right, blameless, righteous, and upright." 194 is also the atomic radius of Iron (Fe), which was historically used in the weapons wielded by countless warriors. Other words with the same value are ויבקעו (cleave), לקחנו (to take), פקיד (officer), יחלצון (deliver), and ידליקם (pursue), פצחו (break), which all seem appropriate to the nature of this soldierly Spirit.
