Worldwide Coronavirus Cases Pass 4 Million, Death Toll Over 2,76,000

More than 3.96 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 273,974 have died, according to a Reuters tally. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, offered an apology to Italy on behalf of Europe for not offering enough support at the start of the country's covid-19 crisis.
